Established in 2018, Motor City Grits was born out of a love for Southern cuisine and a passion for bringing people together over delicious food. Inspired by the vibrant culinary scene of New Orleans and the rich heritage of Detroit, our restaurant is a melting pot of flavors, cultures, and community spirit.

“The fried catfish was old school and coated with seasoned cornmeal and no flour which was a welcomed nostalgic flavor bringing me back to fish fry Saturdays with my grandmother as a child in the early 90’s. The texture was crispy and seasoned to an exactness where hot sauce was unneeded but welcomed either way. Each bowl of grits was thick, smooth, and mild in flavor, allowing the savory toppings to truly deliver distinctive flavor for each bowl. “
